Storage

RESERVE Your WINTER BOAT STORAGE NOW!!!

Our winterization checklist will flush out potential issues before they become a problem.  If anything is found during the winterizing process that needs to be tended to, we will bring it to your attention.  Need a complete tune up???  Preventative maintenance can go a long way to prevent the unexpected from happening and thus reducing disappointment and frustration.  Simple things like changing gear oil, changing fuel filter and plugs can get you in good shape for next year.  It is recommended that the engine oil and filter on four strokes be changed annually. This combined with a basic mechancial inspection of cables and wires will get you off to a good start next boating season.  What is the condition of your prop?  Need a new one?  Want your current one rebuilt for a spare?  When was the last time you replaced the water pump impeller or fuel filter?  It is recommended that impellers be replaced every two years and fuel filters annually.  What about your trailer?  When was the last time you checked the wiring, checked the tires, or greased the bearings? This can be the determining factor if your family & your boat arrive safely at your destination next summer.  For those of you who own I/O's, it is recommended that the outdrive be removed annually to check the condition of the bellows and to grease the universal joints.  Can't remember the last time you did this? Don't postpone another year and be guaranteed that you will stay afloat!

Is your boat's finish not responding well to wax?  If not, maybe it is time to consider a compound and wet sand.  This process can bring back the most faded of gelcoat finishes and will add value to your boat and most of all make clean up a breeze . . .  Need a new top?  Maybe just new windows?  Do your seats need to be recovered or possibly replaced?  All kinds of upholstery and canvas repairs/replacements are available.  All boats have anodes.  Have you noticed that your drive and prop paint is coming off faster than normal?  Maybe it is time to replace all of your sacrificial anodes.  Want to give your boat a little TLC before being tucked away for the winter?  Let us give it the Slimy Grimy treatment and wash it all away!
